Understanding Emotional Eating
What is an emotional eater? How to identify common signs.
Emotional eating is the tendency to use food to soothe feelings rather than to satisfy hunger. It often shows up during stress, boredom, or loneliness, and can feel automatic and hard to interrupt.
Building awareness is the first step. Noticing the trigger before you reach for food, and offering yourself another form of comfort, can gradually loosen the pattern without shame.
